Hi Ryan, Luke, hackspacers,
We are a BCIT-affiliated group who entered a successful project in this year's
"Jim McEwen Engineering Excellence Awards" sponsored by the ALS Society of BC. Our group will be at your door tomorrow night, Thursday May 27 at 7PM. We are
looking forward to doing a brief and informal discussion about the contest. We
plan to describe and answer questions about the Society, the Awards contest and
eligibility, prize money, how to enter, where to get good project ideas, judging
criteria, how to attend information sessions on ALS for contest entrants, key
contacts at the Society, who has entered projects and what they were--in other
words, some information that might help you if you plan to enter a project in
next year's competition. We will have some printed information sheets
available to hand out. We will also bring and demonstrate the device we
entered in this year's contest.
Looking forward to meeting those who can attend,
Stephen Tarrant
