Hi there,
I'm in the early stages of pre-production on a music video (I'mm the
director) for an up and coming Vancouver band who are about to shoot
their 2nd music video (their 1st video was nominated for a Leo Award).
I'm looking for a ROBOT/someone skilled in robotics that has a fair
degree of movement. Alternately, maybe you know someone who has a
robot??? Here are some things that must be considered...
- The robot must be free of rights (i.e. not a recognizable product
with copyrighted logos etc. Preferably it is unique.
- The look is the most important thing. Humanoid would be awesome but
it doesn't have to look "human" as long as it looks COOL on film.
- Too small and it will be too big a challenge to shoot. Too big and
it'll be a pain to move it etc. Think somewhere between 4' and 6' in
height.
- RELIABLE - The whole video is in the toilet if this thing doesn't
work so a fair degree of consistent performance is required.
-This video will be funded through VideoFact so obviously there will
be significant budget constraints that must be worked within.
At this point the video is very much in the conceptual stage. If we
cannot find an awesome robot (and an awesome operator of said robot!)
then we'll have to go back to the drawing board. This ad is to test
the waters.
If you think you can help or you know someone who might, please get in touch.
Thanks in advance! :)
