[Vanhackspace] Circuit Bending night - Tuesday May 18, 2010

Hey everybody. We are hosting a circuit bending night at VHS this coming
Tuesday, May 18th. Doors at 7, and we'll get going around 7:30. I wanted to
get this reminder out early so that people could hit up their local Value
Village/Sally Ann/Thrift store this weekend and find something to bend. If
you aren't familiar with circuit bending then check out the writeup on the

We'll have lots of push buttons, resistors,slide potentiometers and other
assorted components available. We also have lots of soldering irons so all
you need to bring is some kind of toy that makes noise. (Voice changing
megaphones are a personal favourite of mine.) We'd like to end the night
with a little jam using all of the new instruments we've created. So find
yourself a cool toy and come and join us. No previous electronics or
soldering experience is required.
