To give you an idea, I'll list some of the tools. You can get set up
for under $100, depending on the kind of stuff you're interested in doing.
Sawframe - $7.25
Sawblades - $3.50/doz. (you will need a dozen, as they break easily)
Ring Mandrel - $13.00
Nylon Mallet - $10.00 (A rawhide mallet is better, but they are expensive)
Pickling Compound $5.25 (Swimming Pool Acid aka Sodium Bisulphate works too)
Flux - $3.00
Torch - $24.00 (small butane torch will work, as will a propane plumbing
torch)
Kiln Brick - $9.00
Cross-locking tweezers with base - $8.00
Emery Sticks - $9.00
Total: Approx $92.00+tax
