Sounds like there's a strong possibility of cool vehicles and free
food. And apparently a $100k Tesla roadster, if you're into that kinda
thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Roadster

Next meeting is July 21, 2010 - 7:00pm at Trout Lake NORTH lot in John
Hendry Park, Vancouver - location. The BCIT Electrical building SE1
cafeteria won't be available. Agenda: Discuss your EV over a weenie
roast; bring your own cutlery and comfort food if you have a special
diet; wieners, buns, veggies and condiments provided. John will bring
his Tesla as long as you don't kick the tires too hard.
June meeting: Mike Schuler gave a lengthy outline of variablegrid,
with hardware and software demos ; he is offering this tool - which
provides modulated, rather than on/off load control - freely to
utilities that wish to shorten their smart grid planning horizons.
Bruce White gave a great picture show of his conversion in Australia
and the off-peak grid usage scheme he himself convinced the utility to
implement. One of the cleanest DIY conversions we have seen. And he is
going for LiIon soon!
