LED Workshop - July 20th - VHS

This Tuesday will be an introductory LED workshop. We will go over some of
the fundamentals to get you rolling!
This night is being held in conjunction with Public Dreams(
Illuminaries<http://www.publicdreams.org/> festival)
and will also feature some lantern making tutorials . Fancy building you own
LED Lantern? Come find out how!
We would like to make this a collaborative night, so if you have some LED
based projects, please bring them down and show them off.

We will be discussing:

Types of LEDs, sizes and common characteristics
Configurations, how to calculate for single or multiple LEDs
How to work with RGB LEDs, and LED strips
Lightweight batteries and suppliers, how to connect it all together
How to find and read data-sheets
Where to buy locally, order over the internet and buy in bulk
Get started in controlling LEDs from Arduino or any micro-controller
