I noticed tonight london drugs is dumping these for 7$ or so. I took
mine apart already. :)

The german guys on mikrocontroller.net figured out that the auto-update
(via usb) doesn't use a checksum or encryption... so this thing _should_
be flashable (banked 6502, possibly). They also figured out how to
program the screen, made pcb layouts for the ribbon cable and posted the
eagle files I believe.
