[Vanhackspace] Meeting Minutes - Feb 17th, 2009

Agenda - Feb 17th.


Welcome to 3 first-time attendees.


Reviewed Jeff's update on incorporation.

The incorporation paperwork needed 5th director - René volunteered and
appointed.

Consensus was to keep the structure single tier with the exception of an
appointed treasurer.

Consensus was to not allow corporations to be members.

Consensus was to not allow a membership fees to be due for terms longer than
3 months. Provision will allow members to vacation their dues if they leave
town for extended periods of time, at the discretion of the directors.

Jeff mentioned that we should anticipate the need to allow members easier
methods of payments for membership dues.


Space

Joe check leads on warehouse space links sent by Luke earlier in the week.
No viable opportunities were found. Joe is following up on
partnership opportunities with E-tard group. The search continues...


Calagator

Portland Tech community has built a shared calendar that is wiki-like. Luke
has set up set up a vancouver version and needs some help with deployment.

Balloon

Joe has sourced a weather balloon for 300-400 dollars. He has not found any
local suppliers. Aaron suggested balloons from Toronto Surplus, which could
be ganged together for added capacity.
