Hi Vanhackers,
I'm a new member of PSOne in Chicago and want to share with you all an independent project I'm working on that's aligned with and inspired by the goals of hackerspaces and could benefit hackerspace communities.
http://CommuniTeach.com is a website that makes it easy for community members to learn from one another for free. You plug in any skills you want to learn - swing dancing, Python wrangling, whatever - and the site matches you with hackers or general community members who can help you learn those skills for free. We're in third place in a competition for $10,000 in launch funds. Whoever has the most votes by Monday night will win. We're just a little bit behind in the vote tally.
Could you please help us close the gap? Just vote here: http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/6091-CommuniTeach-learning-platform
We’ll use the funds to invest in web designers to build out some key features.
Also, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the project. And if anyone out there would like to help us build, please shoot us a message!
Thanks,
Sarah Press
