[Vanhackspace] Last Meeting Stuff and Next Meeting Themes

Hey

I'm just doing some follow-up for the last meeting and sending an e-mail
about the next few events:

1. Last Meeting

The last meeting was fun.  We were given some abandoned XOs by FreeGeek
and we got three of them working.  We should get them dev keys and
updated to the latest Joyride Build.  I believe we'll have a good number
of XOs for the Software part of the OLPC Hacknight, which is NEXT WEEK.

And in TWO WEEKS, we're going to have Microcontrollers in Motion at the
Hackspace.  Definitely check that out, it's going to be awesome!

2. Website

How do people feel about it?  Should we flesh out the website more? 
Switch it off Drupal and make it a Wordpress like the NYC Resistor or
Hacklab.to sites?  I think we should start blogging our stuff that we do
and have it show up on the site.  We can do this with Drupal, but we
need someone who wants to blog about it.

3. Access

The system is still being debated.  We have to collect fees for October
from the people who haven't paid yet, and see where we are at as far as
getting it installed.  Once we get the security system installed at VHS,
we can then have more events in the space.  What we get is entirely
based on what we can afford.

4. BarCamp AfterParty

We're thinking of hosting a small afterparty for BarCamp people (invite
only, friend of a friend) with Circuit Bending this Saturday night.  If
you think this is a horrible idea, please let us know on the list.  We
don't think there will be a big turnout, but it should be interesting.

That's currently where things are at.  Did I miss anything?
