[Vanhackspace] Introductions

Hello,

I'm an Irish nerd living in Vancouver, interested in electronics
(arduino, monome etc), CNC, and the intersection between art/music and
technology (Processing, Pure Data, Chuck etc). I have experience as a
programmer in video games and networking and I work on Blender 3D
whenever I have the time.

I'm very interested in getting involved with the hackspace as it seems
like a damn good idea.

I've poked around the wiki and the mailing list archives, but I can't
find much to indicate the exact focus of the initial group (the
interests of nerds are many and varied, I don't want to presume mine
coincide with everyone else's). Is this sort of thing written down
anywhere?

I've been knocking around the idea of teaching a "Programming for
Musicians" or "Programming for visual artists" using
PD/Chuck/Processing and maybe arduino.

Is this the sort of thing the hackspace would be interested in?
